Good News, Good Coffee, Cute Jewels

So today was a good day! We had a great report from Peanut's GI doctor. Her EGD went well even though she decided to spit all the Versed out. No inflammation! We will wait to get super excited until we hear the biopsy results.

Bonus on top of that amazing news was the coffee brewed from a Christmas gift from my awesome Mother-in-law......

After we had lunch, I won mom of the year award by taking my little dizzy peanut shopping. Don't worry I pushed her in the stroller since she still had sea legs. I found this cute little Lucky Brand number.
So that was my day! I spent the rest of the evening cleaning, hoping for a showing sometime soon on our house, if not I'd at least like a foot of snow. And no I'm not kidding if I'm gonna freeze my tail off in twenty degree weather I want snow with it.

By the way....check out my other posts this week. I'm doing a 30 Day Photo Challenge.  Fun Stuff!

30 Day Photo Challenge- Day 2

I've been closest to my Momma the longest. Of course. She's not just my mom, she is an amazing friend and I love her like crazy!

This pick is from Indy's Irish Fest

30 Day Photo Challenge--Day 1

Day 01 - A picture of yourself with ten facts
Love this pic, it's from a while ago, we took a picnic downtown and just spent the day together. Me, Mr D, the little sister, and our little buddy was the photog of this pic.

1.  My Papaw Bud calls me Rosebud. Its from a John Wayne movie where a little girl pees her pants and washes them then hangs them from the well pump. It’s weird but I love it

2. My biological dad was killed in an accident when I was nine. I learned that even though people are “family” sometimes they will still treat you like crap. I learned that forgiveness isn’t easy and that you don’t have to forget.

3. I have a desire to drive fast all the time. I sometimes wish my car was a six speed stick and one day I would love to have my own rat rod.

4. I have to have a diet coke first thing in the morning. I like it ice cold and in a can, but will and sometimes prefer to have it warm.

5.I live in jeans and slippers. I like both well worn.

6. I'm 5'8" barefoot, but love love to wear 4 inch heels with a platform

7.I hate scary movies, but love to read scary books.

8. I usually make a bad first impression.

9.I was six when I broke my arm falling off a bar stool. This should have been an indication of how my early 20’s would be

10.My mom is my hero and my best friend. She has an uncanny ability to
remember dates for everything. My dad (step dad) Donnie is the best. He has been there to love and teach me even though he didn’t really have to. I never really appreciated how hard he pushed me when I was young to do my best until I had children of my own.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

I'm writing this a bit early because I'll be toiling away at work. I'm not making any new year resolutions, I try every year and fail miserably.  I do have a few goals that I am going to set for myself....wink wink.

1. Not to feel guilty if I fall behind in achieving one of my...ahem...goals.
2. Mr D and I want to sell our house.
3. I would like to become more limber, like those yoga peeps.
4. I'm going to recycle more. This gal at work literally has like one bag of trash a week for her entire family. The main reason for setting this goal is so that I don't feel so guilty when we visit the zoo.
5. I'm going to be a better friend and call/text/visit more often with the fabulous gals in my life that I don't get enough time with.
6. I'm going to do a better job at reading and memorizing scripture.

Any one have any awesome goals for 2012?
If you do I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

A Social Network Christmas

This video played at our Christmas Eve service. Thought I'd share with you all even though it's getting close to the New Year. I really enjoyed it and hope you do too.

One Down.....Three To Go

Christmas Day has come and gone, but we are still feeling the holiday spirit around here.  We have had our family Christmas here. Mr D did a great job on my gifts and I actually surprised him with one. Peanut told him the rest of the gifts he was getting the week before, sister can't keep a secret.

On Christmas Eve night we went to service at The Creek and Dr. Gary was on fire. I don't think Christmas will be the same in my heart again and for that I am thankful. His message was definitely on the top of my favorite gifts I received this year.

Thought I would share with you some pics from our celebrations. Christmas night was spent with my mother's clan. Couldn't ask for better company to end the day with. We still have a few more to do. Christmas with my Grandma will be tonight and later this week with my folks. Then new years day with Mr. D's mom and brothers.

And to boot.....It's snowing and looking like a winter wonderland here.
