Things I learned this week

1. Even though your work schedule may always be the same, you should still check it. You may randomly be put on a day you didn't expect to work. This day may also be a holiday.

2. If you turn off the air conditioner because the triple digit heat suddenly drops 40 degrees do not assume your entire family is sick with fever. It's just that your house has become stuffy without any airflow.

3. Do not put your house on the market just to see if someone will buy it.....they will.

4. If you decided that you should "Pledge" your kitchen cabinets, be careful.  The pledge may accumulate on the floor making it an amusement park of sock footed fun. Your dog may or may not enjoy this.

5. People at work may assume you are smarter than you actually are. You may be asked to participate in something they think you are qualified for. Do NOT tell them about above mentioned #1-4.

Labor?

Happy Labor Day Y'all! I'm spending this cold, cloudy Labor Day, attempting to feel productive. This year our Labor Day has actually been spent laboring....gasp! Travis and I did a quick changing of the guards this morning after I got off of work and before he left for work. Thank Jesus for wonderful neighbors who watched my monsters so that I could sleep. The Spotts are the best.
So while everyone is enjoying fishing, camping, cooking out. We are having just another normal day hanging out at home, playing dress up, racing cars, and general make believe. And now I sit here listening to the my kids play with dear friends and type on the computer with background music by Pandora. I'm only slightly wishing I were somewhere else with a solo cup of wine in hand. Instead of feeling sorry for myself. I thought I would look back on some of the fun from the summer. Enjoy!
